Two long established Hexham companies Davison's and Tyne Metal Ltd merged in 1976 to form the current company of Davison Tyne Metal Ltd. The history of the two companies dates back to the 18th century were company records show that some castings and machined components were paid for by an exchange of goods and cash. The company has a long tradition of supplying wear resistant castings in a white chrome iron trade marked as "Tyne Metal."
 Although a small company we have established an excellent reputation for the production of wear resistant, heat resistant and general engineering castings for the power generation industry with contract values in the region of £1,000,000 pounds sterling. We are also experienced in making architectural and artistic castings. We have recently been awarded the British Rail Heritage First Engineering Award in conjunction with Smith & Co. and Nuttal Engineering.
The company offers a complete engineering and foundry metal casting service for the supply of quality assured components in the machined or as cast condition.
